What do the pro surfer’s eat for breakfast?

It’s 6am and what are you going to eat before you venture out to your surf session? Starbucks, Einstein Bagels, Noah’s your local donut shop, well if your the #2 surfer in the world you go for fruit loops. We must admit this picture of Damien Farenfort and Jordy Smith was shot in Salina Cruz, Mexico and there were no options of anything else at that time of day. Hanging on the West Side – Santa Cruz Locals

From left to right we have Josh Loya, Anthony Ruffo, Adam Replogle, Peter Mel and Darryl Virostko. Imagine how many waves these guys have ridden in there life time so far. Imagine the size of surf these guys have dropped in on or at worst there wipeout’s they have had. One thing is for sure this crew is not your typical cookie cutter type surfer, but yet the real deal take it for what it’s worth.

Anthony Ruffo – Court Date Pushed Back

On February 9, 2011 long time legend of the west side of Santa Cruz, ex-pro surfer Anthony Ruffo’s original court date was for Feb. 14 and has now been pushed back to May 9 after a Santa Cruz County Superior judge approved a motion by Ruffo’s defense attorney, Ben Rice. Taj Burrow’s Body Guard – A Bra Boy

Pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek has Big Black for security. Why does Kelly Slater not have a body guard and if he did who would it be? Well in the mean time meet Johnny Gannon who travels, trains, and protects WCT surfing great Taj Burrow. Johnny Gannon is part of the Bra Boys clan on the east side of Australia.

America’s Next Hopeful?

USA has brought surfing greats from ten-time surfing world champion Kelly Slater, Taylor Knox, Rob Machado, Dane Reynolds, but who is next to follow in there footsteps.

Our bets go to surfers Kolohe Andino, Evan Geiselman, Luke Davis, Andrew Doheny and Conner Coffin. It’s going to be exciting to see which one wins there first WCT as we hope they all make it on.
