On Thursday Kolohe was surfing Riviera in San Clemente where he flew out in the flats on a wave and has injured his foot. Kolohe is currently in 17th place on the WQS (one world rankings) and 26th on the WCT. Kolohe will be out of the water for up to 10 weeks in which he will be missing the 6* Prime Mr. Price Pro in Balito as well as the 6* in Jeffreys Bay both in South Africa and the 6* Prime Nike US Open in Huntington Beach. He is hoping to be well by the Hurley Pro WCT at Lowers which begins September 16th.
First off Happy Birthday to Dane as he came into the world on September 07, 1985 which makes him 26 years old today. We and the rest of the surfing world are bummbed to announce that Dane Reynolds had to pull out of the Quiksilver Pro wct in Long Beach, New York due to a rib injury that happened on his recent surf trip to Japan or is it Bali (we don’t know which one for sure). His first heat was against Jeremy Flores who won the heat with a total score of 9.67 and Gabe Kling receiving second with a score of 3.43.
We’ll Dane we wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you in the Hurley Pro at Lower Trestles.
