Surfers Sponsor Updates For 2012

Billabong tried it’s best to get Kolohe Andino back onto the team, but he has resigned with Nike for an estimated 10 years.

Kolohe Andino Photos – O’neill Cold Water Classic

Action and lifestyle photos of Kolohe Andino from the O’neill Cold Water Classic are now live on his page. Kolohe began in round 1 taking first place beating out Richard Christie, Michael Dunphy, and Rudy Palbroom. Then into round 2 Kolohe got 2nd place behind Nate Yeomans and beating out Jason “Ratboy” Collins and Cory Lopez. Onto round 3 is where Kolohe went up against Miguel Pupo in a man on man heat where he was eliminated and took home a check for $3,000.00 and 1,200 points.

Kolohe Andino Wins Fantastic Noodles Kangaroo Island Pro

Kolohe Andino now sits at 21st in the world after his 1st place finish at the 6* where he beat out Australian Jay Quinn and in doing so took home 3,500 points and a check for $30,000.00.

Kolohe Andino Qualifies For The 2012 WCT

California pro surfer 17-year old Kolohe Andino just won his second back to back surfing contest in Brazil and in doing so collected a check for $20,000.00 and has officially qualified for the 2012 WCT. Kolohe with a heat total of 17.50 took out Brazilian Hizunome Bettero who had a heat total of 16.57 at the Quiksilver Brasil Open of Surfing. Before this event Kolohe was ranked 35th in the world who will now move up to approximately 23rd.

Kolohe Andino Wins Super Surf International ASP 6* In Brazil

Congratulations to San Clemente surfers Kolohe Andino and Tanner Gudauskas who both made it to the final (two man final) of the 2011 Super Surf International 6* in Brazil. Tanner was currently ranked 42nd and Kolohe ranked 41st in the one world rankings before this event, but it was the young 17-year old Kolohe who came out on top with a final heat score of 14.33 over Tanner’s 11.13. This is Kolohe’s biggest win to date.

Kolohe Andino Signs With Astrodeck Traction

The gig was up this year as Cory Lopez, Julian Wilson and Kolohe Andino we’re all on the traction company Blackline that just, we’ll we don’t know the exact details but everyone has moved on.

Kolohe Andino today signed on with the San Clemente brand Astrodeck owned and operated by the Fletcher family (Herbie, Dibi, Christian, Nathan and Gresyon).

Who broke the news to us? Sent from her iphone while bronzing in the sun. “Kolohe make sure you cover that pretty face with sunscreen now before you go for a surf”.

The list of surfers would be endless who have ridden the Astrodeck pad.
