Kelly Slater Calls Out SeaWorld (on behalf of PETA)

My name is Kelly Slater, and I’m here on behalf of PETA. The veil has been lifted on SeaWorld. All the ads in the world won’t change what the public now knows to be true: that the company imprisons highly intelligent, emotionally complex, social animals in tiny, barren concrete tanks, which leads to aggression and disease. SeaWorld is experiencing declining attendance and revenue, and dozens of companies, including Southwest Airlines, Panama Jack, and Mattel, have recently ended partnerships with SeaWorld. As a professional surfer, I’m lucky and privileged to be able to spend the majority of my time in the ocean—it’s the place where I feel most at home, and thus, I feel an obligation to protect that which I have a voice in influencing. Please, tell us, when will SeaWorld allow the animals it holds captive to return to their home—the ocean—by retiring them to a seaside sanctuary? And wouldn’t this at least be viewed, if nothing else, as a public relations win for you? By righting the wrongs you have committed in the name of corporate profit for so many years, you may actually be able to recoup some of the respect that has been lost in the eyes of the public and work toward an end to the problem of animal suffering. Thank you.

Bride Thrown From Horse During Photo Shoot

“This had to be one of the craziest things to ever happen to me on a photo shoot. Here in Myrtle Beach, my client decided that since you only live once, she wanted to take a photo on top of a horse! I’m not much of a fan of large animals myself because of the unpredictability of them, but I agreed to take the photo if she wanted. What happened next was absolutely crazy! The bride was completely fine and not hurt other than a couple of bruises. Made for a fun story to tell at the wedding!” – Jarrett Hucks

Guy Bikes For His Life From A Brown Bear

We believe it’s fake, but just imagine riding your bike and being in this situation (don’t fall or hope nothing breaks on the bike)

Why we think it’s fake – at :54 there is a large branch perfectly placed in the bike pathway. In the video it shows the bear 20-30ft behind in which the bear can clearly see the biker. So instead of the biker jumping the branch or getting off his bike and going around the branch then getting back on his bike and bolt he get’s off his bike to hide. This would be the stupidest decision a human could make. Then at 1:06 and 1:11 sounds like gun shots go off, then the bear moves on.

Blackfish tells the story of Tilikum, a performing killer whale that killed several people while in captivity. Along the way, director-producer Gabriela Cowperthwaite compiles shocking footage and emotional interviews to explore the creature’s extraordinary nature, the species’ cruel treatment in captivity, the lives and losses of the trainers and the pressures brought to bear by the multi-billion dollar sea-park industry.
