Kai Lenny Kite Surfing Del Mar Beach, Camp Pendleton Oceanside

Forgive us for not knowing who Kai Lenny was, but now we know. From his site hawaiianwaterman.com it reads: “Kai Lenny is one of the most accomplished ‘Waterman’ of his generation: surfer, windsurfer, kitesurfer, foil-surfer, canoe paddler and now dominating the sport of Stand Up Paddling, Kai is the true definition of the word, ‘Waterman’. Having grown up on Maui in the perfect environment to experiment across all the ocean sports and surrounded by some of the world’s leading ocean sports ambassadors (Robby Naish, Laird Hamilton, Dave Kalama), Kai Lenny is destined for greatness. ”
Kai made a showing yesterday where he entertained the crowd for around 20 minutes with some of great kite surfing as well as surfing (no kite).

West Coast Marines Win 2011 Red Bull Rivals – Del Mar Beach, Camp Pendleton Oceanside

Yesterday at De Mar Beach on Camp Pendelton in Oceanside California was the Red Bull Rivals. There were two teams, east coast versus the west coast. The west coast came out on top with seconds to go. Besides all the friendly trash talk between the two teams as well as some unique attire some good and bazaar surfing went down.
Friends, family and loved ones were on hand cheering on the men as they made the most out of the surf conditions which were a fun 3-4 ft. In the end the east coast (losing) team were all handed brand new Red Bull surfboards in which they then had to turn and hand them over to the winning west coast team.

Jack English In UK Photography Magazine

Jack English top 50 photographers in the world by UK Photography Magazine Photo Plus:

Pro surf and action sports photographer

“The waves weren’t particularly big on the day we were shooting, but Mike (the surfer) and I had a specific angle we were going for, to get a unique shot. Then this wave came rolling in and we both knew it wasn’t lining up right for what we had planned, so halfway down the wave Mike had to go into this turn. It was one of those shots you don’t plan on, but it just happened-and ended up being the best shot from the session. It’s valuable lesson for all photographers. I used my 7D in a SPL water housing (made here in San Diego-www.splwatershousings.com), and I’m treading water while taking this shot as my feet can’t touch the bottom”
